First Copy+ broke the final barrier to upgrading your Sky+ or HD hard drive - the ability to keep your recordings. Now we also smash the restriction on changing box models - take your recordings with you, even between previously incompatible box models!*
The software has many uses, including:
Upgrading to a larger hard drive
Upgrading from Sky+ to SkyHD
Making copies if your Sky box is being replaced
Replacing a failing hard drive

And best of all - it's free‡, with no nag screens, spyware, pop-ups or advertising.
To use Copy+ you will need Microsoft Windows XP or Vista and at least one free IDE channel in addition to your primary Windows Boot drive - (two channels recommended for easy of use). These can be internal drives, or external USB 2 or FireWire attached drive caddies, or any combination.
But before downloading, make sure you read the appropriate sections of this site and are well aware of its limitations and terms of use. If you struggle with it, there's a comprehensive set of instructions available, as well as useful FAQ's and general advice in the support section.
* From version 1.2.0.1 onwards. Otherwise check box compatibility. † These options all require an empty, un-partitioned drive as the destination for the copy. Correcting errors or defragmentation of the source disk is not currently an option. ‡ If you wish to use Copy+ in a commercial environment, for example you install, repair or upgrade PVR systems, please contact the author for details.
