With the current crazy fluctuation in HDD prices I've noticed that 750Gb 2.5" laptop drives are cheaper in PCWORLD than 1TB desktop drives anywhere that froogle can locate.
Even 1TB laptop drives are less than the £110 that is the cheapest Seagate 1TB Pipeline drive that I can find at the moment.
2.5" drives would certainly solve a lot of the power consumption, heat and noise problems that using larger drives create.
Has anyone tried a 2.5" drive in one of the Sky+HD boxes?
If so could it cope with the throughput when recording twice and playing back a previously recorded program?
