Hi, I have a DRX890 with darwin (darwin was installed on the box from day 1)
I have a WD 1TB drive, the drive was taken from a DRX780 without darwin, endian changed and popped into the DRX890.
All was working well until a further darwin update came, which saw plenty of failed recordings and the box failing to boot.
When it is running, with or without instant rewind enabled, there is a LOT of disk activity. The disk was audible in my 780 but it seemed to read the data "smoother" if that makes any sense?
Could it be that the 1TB drive isn't aligned properly so the heads are all over the place making lots of noise or am I imagining things?
I don't have any failed recordings any more, just the box fails to boot a lot but I'm aware that's down to sky's poxy coding ;D
I did also have a few recordings that just played a blue screen, no matter if I started from the beginning, middle or end of the recording. Would this indicate overwrite?
