Darwin to Darwin

Any other questions about the software?

Darwin to Darwin

Postby sinkers » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:30 pm

I think I know the answer to this but .....

I have a Pace TDS850 with a 1GB HDD. It has the Darwin update on it. I have just purchased a 2 month old DRX895 which I am told has been updated to Darwin as well.

Is there any way I can use Copy+ to make a backup of some of my recordings (which have all been made since my Darwin upgrade) and then restore them to the new disk? I think from what I have read here that Copy + cannot read any recordings made with a Darwin box. Is that correct and if so, do I have any alternative and/or is there a further Copy + upgrade on the horizon to get around this problem?

Thanks

Sorry. Copy+ is not currently compatible with Darwin upgraded boxes.

Thanks for that.

I assume that there is no way of temporarily "downgrading" the box.

No, sorry.
And it wouldn't help as the recordings would still all be in the new format.
