Hi Glen,

Thanks for your post - sorry you are having problems.

A few people have had this problem before, and unfortunately we have never got to the bottom of it. :(
One of them even worked for Microsoft and they couldn't tell me what was wrong with my code for locking and dismounting the file system!

At the risk of stating the obvious, what do you have installed in the way of Anti Virus and other system software?

Also I'm surprised the 32-bit Read Only drivers even work under 64bit XP?!

I also have the alpha version of Copy+ here which I could send. I've changed things in this area recently, although nothing I can think that could fix this particular issue.

Regards, Stuart.

Hi Stuart
Thanks for the reply, Anti virus i got kaspersky internet security 2009 and it was disabled,
If i could try your Alpha that would be great but i am going to try this on me boys computer tomorow which is vista prem 64
the XTVFS drivers installed with no errors so i assume they are working?

Okay, thanks for the details.

If I could try your Alpha that would be great but I am going to try this on me boys computer tomorrow which is Vista Prem 64
Alpha dispatched via e-mail.
I hope it is of use to you.

The XTVFS drivers installed with no errors so I assume they are working?
I suspect probably not, as I would think 64 bit OS would ignore 32 bit drivers?
But I really do not know how things work at that level! And I do not have a 64 bit machine to test on.

Tried the new .exe
program crashed when trying to save as image and when trying drive to drive instead of getting the "Error locking and dismounting source drive" straight away it came up "drive e in use continue" then clicked ok then the "Error locking and dismounting source drive" error came up, going to try vista machine tomorow will keep you updated.

Yep - as I thought, no better than the current version :?
This problem really is difficult/impossible to solve unless I have access to a system which exhibits the problem.

You don't happen to live in or around SE London do you?
Anyway, wish you better luck with your alternate machine.

Ah, final resting place of Pocahontas! - That's not far. I'm in Orpington :)
You wouldn't like to do me, and the Copy+ user base, a big favour would you?
Access to a machine with this problem for an afternoon would be a major step forward in resolving this uncommon but annoying little bug.
