Successful Thomson upgrade "Samsung EcoGreen F2 HD103SI 1TB"

Postby huddy1000000 » Tue Aug 17, 2010 11:40 am

Just to let you all know that I have just replaced the hard drive in my Thomson Sky HD (DSI8215WDR-89) with the Samsung EcoGreen F2 HD103SI 1TB Hard Drive SATA 32MB purchased from Amazon.co.uk. I have also relaced the HDD in an Amstrad DRX895 with the same drive. Both are working perfectly. I know how difficult it is to choose a reliable hard drive for these upgrades so I would be interested if any other member has had the same success.

Kind Regards.

Mark.

Pace Upgrade with Newer HDD

Postby Alex-sat » Thu Aug 19, 2010 4:32 pm

I was about to almost mention the same subject. I have the latest Pace HD and although I am in this business I toyed with
buying an New Amstrad or upgrading my totally reliable Pace. The Amstrad is still in early stages and not really proven. But there hasn't been too many recent Posts of some of the latest HDD. I have the chance of a WD10EARS or the Samsung HD103SI. Can anyone advise on my best option. Don't really fancy the Amstrad too much. (I know they were once produced by Samsung in Spain and Logo Amstrad) Not sure where they are made now. Hope for some advice. Thx Alex.
