Samsung F3 2TB in Amstrad 895

I've just installed this drive in my new 895 with no problems. I used the current beta of copy+ to get my files across. The old 1TB drive I had in my thomson had 4% user space left. This has now gone to 49% on the new box:D

Can you keep us posted with further developments?

I had a really unsuccesful experience trying to upgrade an Amstrad HD box (old model) and I'm a bit wary of trying with the new one...

Thanks :)

Seems to be working with no problems. The fan is noisier than it was on the Thomson which is a pity: I gather this may be because the temp monitoring on the external Samsung may be different than on the standard WD internal drive. Actually, this idea surprises me since I think this stuff is all pretty standard these days: the enclosure the drive is in has no fan, so it maybe the box is just detecting the higher temp and trying to cool it!. Since the box exhaust air is very cool, I may end up investing in one of the little fan speed adjusters that Ebay sellers offer.
This Amstrad is much faster in all respects than the old Thomson. The subtitle issue (miss-timing) remains...
