Just replaced my PVR1 160Gb box with a "new" Thomson PVR 3, which I have had sitting in the loft for the past 9 months!
The PVR1 was starting to get a little slow and unresponsive.
Anyway, thanks to Copy+ , using the new beta, I was able to transfer all the recordings to the new disk - these were previously incompatable, hence my delay in changing the box over.
I have also replace the PVR3 disk with a 250Gb Hitachi Deskstar, I got from SVP communications for ~ £30, so left with 170GB personal space, which is fine - I would have struggled with the original 80GB.
Disk details are
Hitachi Deskstar HDT725025VLAT80
250GB ATA/IDE
5V 530mA 12V 640mA
7200rpm
in a Thomspon PVR3
Model # 127k148
Version # 4E2108
Serial # 0170061800
All updated to 5.02F EPG SW version, and working fine.
Pretty much silent, so well pleased - especially with the transfer of the recordings, so big thanks to pcbbc
The old PVR1 disk was a maxtor 160gb diamondmax 4R160LO 5400rpm disk btw
