The installers menu can be accessed via the following key sequence on the Sky+ remote. Please note that some of the key presses do not result in any on screen response from the Sky+ box (you are accessing a hidden menu) - Just press each key as indicated:

You should now have arrived at the installers menu. Here you can chose from the following options:
Planner Rebuild
This option will perform an integrity check of all the recordings on your Sky+ hard drive. It is a simple equivalent of the Microsoft Check Disk application.
All of your recordings and planner entries should remain intact with this option, however sometimes the Planner Rebuild will erase some, or in very rare circumstances all, or your recordings. This is usually an indication that there was either something seriously wrong with the recordings, or that the hard drive is failing or was so corrupt it could not be recovered.
If you are experiencing problems with your Sky+ box, a Planner Rebuild should be your first port of call.
When the Planner Rebuild completes your Sky+ will turn off. Wait a few minutes before turning back on, either with the front panel button or the Sky button on your remote.
Full System Reset
WARNING: This option will erase all of your recordings and planner entries!
Again, when the process is complete your Sky+ box will turn off. Wait a few minutes before turning back on, either with the front panel button or the Sky button on your remote.
